My weekly round up…

So my week of running, starting last Saturday was going really well. I got a new 5k PB of 40.42, which I was over the moon with – as it’s starting to show that all my hard work is paying off. Then on Sunday, I ran my furthest distance of 6.08 miles in 1.28.28, which at the time I found so difficult as I felt like I was going to throw up at one point but when I had finished it I felt a sense of achievement that I had never felt before. 

Since Monday, it’s been a totally different story. I start my week of with Monday being my day off, and I get back into my running on Tuesday which didn’t happen due to me feeling so run down, with my head feeling weak, I managed to do some strength training on Wednesday but not as much as I usually do, and then by Thursday I felt even worse, which got worse over Friday and has turned into me suffering with the bug today. All my head has been telling me to do is go out and run (even when I’ve been suffering with a headache that throbs with every step that I take) but my body has been telling no, you need to have a break and run when you feel better. 

So after either being on the sofa, or in bed asleep today all I’m looking forward to is my next run. Whether it’s a couple miles or if it’s longer, I can’t wait – I just want to run.
